Moore: Result wasn’t there but performance was

New boss Darren Moore focussed on the good points he saw at Hillsborough tonight after Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to fellow strugglers Rotherham left us well adrift in the relegation zone.
Moore said after 10-man Rotherham’s last-gasp winner: “The result wasn’t there but the performance was. They kept the belief, we got back in the game and we felt we could score more with the chances we created. I’ve learned a lot tonight.
“I said to the boys, it’s a disappointing one to take but they will pick themselves up by the morning and focus on the next one. It’s that final killer touch and we will be looking to work on that.
“That’s football, it can kick you where it hurts. I want the players to reset quickly. They have to keep the focus and keep working.
“We created enough chances to score more goals. The longer we work together, the better the understanding will be as a team.”
