Moore back in dugout and delivers after-match verdict

Darren Moore recovered from Covid-19 in time to take his place in the Wednesday dugout at Burton today … and he liked what he saw in the team’s 2-0 win.

The Owls boss arrived at the Pirelli Stadium just over an hour before kick off after receiving a second negative Covid test on Saturday morning, before then getting medical clearance to attend.

And after watching his side chalk up a third successive league win without conceding a goal, Moore said: “To get three consecutive wins in this league is very difficult. The icing on the cake is to come out of it with three clean sheets.

“It is good to see the boys are adopting good practice in terms of consistency, know-how, determination and togetherness. Long may that continue. They are together and it is wonderful to see.

“They can also feel really pleased with the work they have done this afternoon.”
