Milan talks transfer targets as O’Grady says farewell

As Chris O’Grady finally leaves Hillsborough, chairman Milan Mandaric has talked about Wednesday making at least four signings in time for next season’s kick off.

With striker O’Grady joining Barnsley for an undiscolosed fee, after months of speculation, Mandaric said: “I’m looking at around four players. It could be more but it depends on how many of our existing players renew their contracts.”

Jermaine Johnson, David Prutton, Giles Coke, Miguel Llera and Stephen Bywater have all been offered new deals but have yet to say ‘yes’.

The Owls have so far been linked with Leicester pair Sean St Ledger and Jamie Vardy and veteran striker Kevin Davies.
