Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has reportedly turned down the offer of a new contract at Wednesday.
He joined us as a free agent last November and Darren Moore was hoping the winger would play a part in next season’s plans.
However, BBC Radio Sheffield’s Rob Staton has reported that he understands Mendez-Laing has rejected a new deal, with other articles indicating the possibility of approaches from Championship clubs.
Mendez-Laing netted twice in 19 appearances for us last season, also providing much-needed power and strength at times, but lacked consistency in his performances.
