Wednesday’s reward for Saturday’s FA Cup win over Aldershot is a third round clash with West Ham at Hillsborough.
It will mean a meeting between two recent Bolton bosses – Gary Megson and Sam Allardyce – and will bring back memories for Owls fans of two S6 FA Cup triumphs over the Hammers in successive seasons in the eighties.
The tie is scheduled for the weekend of January 7 and 8 and, with Sheff U also drawn at home, it is unlkely they will both be played on the same day.
