Gary Megson was delighted with Wednesday’s New Year’s Eve victory at Preston.
He said: “That was a terrific performance and a much more professional display when defending a lead.”
Megson revealed that the team actually had a pre-match rollicking as the backroom staff were unhappy with the squad’s warm-up – but he then liked what he saw when the 90 minutes got underway.
