May back in contention after virus setback

Stevie May should be fit for tomorrow night’s home game with Bournemouth after struggling with a virus.

Stuart Gray said May had been troubled by the illness at the end of last week, moving down to the bench at Charlton on Saturday, but he added that the striker was back in full training today and will be ready to start the game, if selected.

Wednesday are also waiting for the results of a scan on Joe Mattock’s ankle injury from Saturday, which will rule him out of the Bournemouth game. Claude Dielna or Jeremy Helan will seemingly step into the left back slot for the visit of the in-form Cherries.
