Manager “frustrated” after added time equaliser

Darren Moore was left a frustrated manager after seeing his Wednesday side throw away two more points at Cheltenham today.

Reacting to the home side’s added time equaliser in the 2-2 draw, Moore said: “It’s frustration for me and frustration in the dressing room. We’ve got in front and we should’ve held on but it’s a set play at the end that they’ve equalised from.

“We’ve scored from two set plays but conceded a set play right at the end, so that’s the frustrating thing.

“We finished the game with two recognised defenders, the substitutions we made were positive to try and win the game.”

He added: “What we have got to do is be more solid as a team. The set plays are a real problem for us and is part of the game that we have got to look at.

“We feel we have thrown two points away, without a doubt, and that’s what we have got to look at.”

Dominic Iorfa missed the Cheltenham game after injuring an ankle in training. He will be assessed ahead of the home game with Sunderland Tuesday evening and Moore said he is currently 50/50 to make the match.
