Chris Maguire and Sam Hutchinson are both expected to be back in the Wednesday squad for Saturday’s season finale at Ipswich.
Maguire missed last weekend’s dismal home defeat to Bolton as he was attending his grandmother’s funeral while loanee Hutchinson was completing a two-match ban.
Stuart Gray was clearly concerned at the Bolton performance and Maguire looks certain to return, while Hutchinson may well also come in to contention for a starting place, either in a holding midfield role or in defence.
