Luhukay refuses to discuss future at S6

Jos Luhukay didn’t want to talk about his future at Wednesday after seeing us stretch our recent record to just one win in nine games.

When asked if he feared for his job following the 2-2 draw with Rotherham, which was met with boos and chants for the Owls boss to go from many of the near 25,000 Hillsborough crowd, Luhukay said: “I am not deaf. This question you can ask, but I will not give you an answer to this. I cannot give an answer to this.”

Reflecting on the game, he felt a draw was a fair result, saying “I think the draw was right for Rotherham and right for us. We would have been very disappointed to lose that game and the same I am sure for Rotherham.

“We had chances, they had chances and we could have won, they could have won.

“For us, we showed the character and the heart today. The players gave everything.”
