Tom Lees marked his return from injury with a goal for the under-23s at Huddersfield on Tuesday.
Lees played for an hour for the youngsters in their 3-2 defeat.
Jos Luhukay also confirmed that Almen Abdi is back in full training while he is hopeful that Gary Hooper will be ready to return to training in a fortnight.
Keiren Westwood has visited a specialist in London and is waiting to see if he needs an operation while Sam Hutchinson is training on his own but is not yet ready to join in squad workouts.
