Lees eyes return for Bristol City clash

Tom Lees could be back in the Wednesday squad at Bristol City on Saturday after his lengthy lay-off.

The defender played his last game at Ipswich near the end of November and then underwent surgery on a groin problem. He has had two recent runouts with the under-23s and Jos Luhukay says Lees might well feature in the squad at Bristol.

The young trio of Sean Clare, Jack Stobbs and Jordan Thorniley were cup-tied for the trip to Swansea on Tuesday evening but could come back into consideration for Saturday, Thorniley also continuing to recover from concussion after being stretchered off at Millwall last month.

We await an injury update on Jack Hunt, who limped off with a hamstring problem at Swansea, while Joe Wildsmith is likely to return in goal in place of Cameron Dawson.
