Lee ready to make changes for cup tie

Wednesday will make changes for tomorrow evening’s Carabao Cup second round tie at Rotherham.

Lee Bullen has confirmed he will give a runout to some of the players who have so far largely had limited game-time from the bench, providing them the opportunity to stake their claims for a place in the starting line-up in the Championship.

Cameron Dawson can be expected to replace Keiren Westwood in goal while summer signing David Bates looks set to make his full Wednesday debut in the centre of the defence following his move from Hamburg.

Dominic Iorfa, who scored the 100th minute equaliser in the 2-2 league draw at the New York Stadium last season, Massimo Luongo, Fernando Forestieri, Atdhe Nuhiu, Jordan Rhodes, Sam Winnall and Joey Pelupessy could all also figure.

However, the tie comes too early for Liam Palmer, who began training again this week after his back problem, and he should be ready to return to the squad for Saturday’s home league game with QPR.
