Kieran Lee has been offered a new deal to stay at Wednesday, with Steve Bruce hoping the midfielder can recapture his form after 16 months on the sidelines through injury.
Lee, a key player in our two play-off seasons, returned to first team action for the first time since December 2017 at Preston last week and played for just over an hour against QPR on Sunday.
He was out-of-contract at the end of this season but Bruce said after the QPR game: “We want to keep Kieran Lee here, I can confirm that. With a good pre-season under the belt, let’s see if we can get him back to the player we know he is.”
