Lee likely to be fit for Preston challenge

Kieran Lee is expected to be fit for consideration for tomorrow night’s home Championship match with Preston.

Lee was subbed at half time at Swansea on Sunday as a precaution, following a tightening of his calf. However, Garry Monk is confident that Lee, who did well in the first 45 minutes at the Liberty Stadium, will be ready to take his place in the squad against Preston.

There could also be a return to the starting line-up for Kadeem Harris after he was rested to the bench at Swansea while Tom Lees may be in the squad following his hamstring problem.

Following Sunday’s disappointing defeat, when we could and should have been ahead by a goal or two by half time, we still have one eye on the relegation zone and the other on the outcome of the EFL hearing that could result in a points deduction.

Preston’s play-off hopes have dipped and they are six points off sixth place after a run of seven games without a win.
