Lee eyes Rovers return after runout

Kieran Lee had a runout for the under-21s against Huddersfield at Hillsborough last night, ahead of Saturday’s trip to Blackburn.

Lee, who has been struggling with a groin problem, played for an hour in the 3-1 defeat against the Terriers and, if he suffers no reaction, then could be back in the starting line-up at Ewood Park – with Jose Semedo serving a one-match ban.

As for the under-21s’ defeat, Coach Lee Bullen was angry at the overall team performance, saying afterwards: “It was a lacklustre display. The goals we lost defensively were shocking and that just kills you. There was a lot of pride lacking tonight and there will be a few home truths.”
