Lavery links up with Owls legend in loan deal

Young striker Caolan Lavery has joined League Two Plymouth Argyle on an emergency loan until the end of the year.

Development squad member Lavery, who has also been in the first team squad on occasions this season, will link up with former Owls legend, John Sheridan, who is manager at Home Park.

Lavery figured for the Northern Ireland under-21s in midweek and the loan move is designed to give him regular first team experience, possibly starting at home to Dagenham & Redbridge tomorrow.

Ex-Owls manager Brian Laws had been reported to be keen to take Lavery on loan at Scunthorpe but that possibility ended when Laws was sacked as Irons boss earlier this week.
