Lewis Buxton will have a fitness test ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Burnley to see if he is ready to return from a hamstring injury.
Young midfielder Rhys McCabe will also be assessed before the game after suffering a thigh problem, as the Owls look to end a run of six successive defeats in all competitions.
Kieran Lee is struggling with an ankle injury, so if he and Buxton are ruled out then Jermaine Johnson is likely to fill in again at right back. Reda Johnson is expected to continue to be sidelined with a foot problem while Dave Jones has reported some illness in the squad.
Former Wednesday favourite and ex-London Owls Player of the Year, Lee Grant, is expected to be in the Clarets goal.
