Klas Ingesson loses his cancer fight

Former Owls midfielder, Klas Ingesson, has lost his battle with cancer.

Ingesson, 46, signed for the Owls during Trevor Francis’ managerial reigh in September 1994 and made 21 appearances, scoring two goals.

He won 57 caps for Sweden and also played for IFK Goteborg, KV Mechelen, PSV Eindhoven, Bari, Bologna, Olympique Marseille and Lecce, before going on to manage IF Elsborg in his native country during the 2013-14 season.

Klas leaves a wife, Veronica, and two sons and The London Owls send their sincere sympathies to his family at this very sad time.
