Kieran to continue in starting line-up?

Carlos Carvalhal will continue to monitor Kieran Lee’s progress before deciding whether to give him another place in the starting line-up at Ipswich on Saturday.

With David Jones out through sickness, Lee returned to action against Derby last Saturday after nearly four months recovering from a hip injury and he turned in an impressive display before being subbed early in the second half.

Carvalhal says, not surprisingly, Lee suffered some reaction after so long without playing a competitive game and he will make a late decision on whether to again include him from the start.

With Jones still ruled out with a virus and Sam Hutchinson only just back in full training following his calf injury, Carvalhal will no doubt be tempted to play Lee from the start, knowing that a sixth successive win for the Owls would seal our play-off place.

With two matches left, we go into the trip to Portman Road also in the knowledge that two points from these two games will be enough to clinch a position in the top six … but with the last match of the season being at home to play-off rivals Fulham, victory at Ipswich would be welcomed by all Wednesday fans to avoid another possible last-day decider at S6.
