Jones seeking action replay as Owls look to pick off Cherries

Dave Jones is looking for a repeat performance from the Owls when we entertain Bournemouth at S6 on Saturday.

Two wins out of three, while some of our promotion rivals have faltered, sees Wednesday just one point behind second-placed Sheff U and victory over the Cherries would keep the momentum going under new boss Jones.

Relating tomorrow’s game to the 4-1 midweek win over Bury, Jones said: “The team responded to everything we asked of them on Tuesday night and now it’s a case of keeping it going, adding a little bit more and seeing where it leads us to.”

Reda Johnson was back in full training this week after his hamstring injury but it may be too soon for a return to first team action. Otherwise, we have no further injury problems and Jones could name an unchanged side.

Looking further ahead, Jones has not ruled out adding emergency loan signings to the squad, saying: “It’s all about assessing and if you can bring in players that will add to the squad then you will do that.”
