Dave JonesDave Jones  has confirmed that Reda Johnson is in contention for a starting place for Saturday’s trip to Notts County.

Johnson has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury but Jones told the pre-match press conference on Thursday that Johnson is is fit to return after starting full-time training this week.

That means Jones is likely to find himself choosing between Johnson and his replacement Julian Bennett for the left back berth at Meadow Lane.

Jones also revealed that Jermaine Johnson, ruled out for up to eight weeks with knee ligament damage, is ahead of schedule in his recovery while Jon Otsemobor has had a knee operation.

Notts County striker Lee Hughes could return against the Owls after serving a three-match ban while ex-Wednesday loanee, Lloyd Sam, is likely to make his County debut after joining from Leeds.
