Dave Jones was full of praise for Wednesday’s character – and keeper Stephen Bywater – after our vital win at Brentford on Saturday.
Reflecting on the victory which took us a point clear of Sheff U with one game to play, Jones said: “It wasn’t our best performance and you could see that we could have played better, but you could also say that the players showed tremendous character.
“It now goes to the final day and that is all we could have asked for.”
Bywater made two outstanding saves in the second half and Jones added: “Stephen was outstanding for us today and the save he made from Clayton Donaldson was world class.”
