Connor Wickham has been recalled by Sunderland afer his loan spell at Hillsborough.
Dave Jones said earlier today that Black Cats boss Martin O’Neill was struggling with injuries and illness in his squad and Jones later confirmed that Wickham has been recalled to the North East.
He said that Wickham had continued to train with Wednesday this week, even though his initial loan spell had expired, and there is still a possibility that the young striker could return for a further loan spell at S6 before the end of the season.
