Johnson injury blow as winger ruled out for eight weeks

Wednesday have confirmed that Jermaine Johnson will miss the next two months through injury.

JJ limped off during the first 45 at Chesterfield on Saturday and the club says he will be out for an estimated eight weeks with knee ligament damage.

It means the winger, who had shown a return to form in recent weeks, will miss most of the vital run-in to the end of the season.

It also signals a likely debut for loanee winger Michail Antonio in Sunday’s derby clash at S6.
