Jermaine ready to agree new Owls deal

Jermaine Johnson looks likely to sign a new contract at Hillsborough in the near future.

JJ, who is currently on World Cup duty with Jamaica, has been offered a fresh deal – thought to be for another year – and the indications are that the 32-year-old winger will say ‘yes’ to a further 12 months with Wednesday.

Johnson, who has had his highs and lows during six years at Hillsborough, has become a crowd favourite during this time and his impressive form towards the end of last season led to the majority of supporters wanting Dave Jones to offer him a new contract.
