Wednesday have today confirmed that Glenn Loovens has signed a new contract with the club.
Loovens has agreed a one-year deal at S6 and Stuart Gray says that he will also take the captain’s armband next season.
He made 26 appearances last season after arriving on a short-term deal and Gray will be relieved to see Loovens back in the centre of defence, with Wednesday desperately lacking in this department.
Gray said: “We need to get Glenn in and hopefully another quality centre half who will give us more experience and leadership qualities. We’ve got a lot of young players out there so maybe we need a talker and an organiser.”
