Steve Bruce was full of praise for his team – both on and off the field – as we continued our unbeaten run since he took over as boss at the start of February.
Speaking after the 4-2 win over Blackburn on Saturday took us to within two points of the play-offs, Bruce said: “I have to say it’s been a real team effort both on and off the pitch.”
He added: “We’ve taken our chances today, we’ve given ourselves a chance, now let’s enjoy the ride.”
Reviewing the Blackburn win, Bruce said: “I wasn’t happy with the two goals we conceded but we’ve gone and scored four times, so there are no complaints there.”
