It wasn’t a great game to watch says Carlos

Carlos Carvalhal admitted the goalless draw at Reading was far from a classic.

Reflecting on another disappointing Wednesday display, he said: “The positive is we kept a clean sheet and we are six games unbeaten.

“We could have done better with the ball and it was not a great game to watch today because it was very tactical.

“We looked more threatening in the second half but I think a point was a fair result.”

Carvalhal made six changes to the starting line-up at Ipswich on Wednesday evening. These included Tom Lees missing out because of an abductor injury, while Gary Hooper came on from the subs’ bench and the head coach explained they need to manage his fitness as the S6 medical team say he is at high risk of injury.
