Wednesday will be without Dominic Iorfa until the New Year.
Iorfa, who suffered a hip injury in the home game with Lincoln last month, has not played since and it is not clear exactly how long he is likely to be ruled out.
Last season, Iorfa ruptured his Achilles in December and missed the rest of the campaign.
It’s another defensive blow for Darren Moore who is also missing Sam Hutchinson and Everton loanee Lewis Gibson, both sidelined since the win over Bolton last month. Hutchinson has been ruled out since with a muscle problem and Gibson has returned to his parent club with a hamstring injury, with some reports indicating he may not return to S6.
On the plus side with regard to injuries, Josh Windass is back training on grass after his serious hamstring problem, suffered at West Brom in pre-season.
