Injured trio hoping to return for Leeds trip

Tom Lees, Kieran Lee and Sam Hutchinson are all back in full training and in contention for Saturday’s televised clash with Leeds at Elland Road.

Lee (groin) and Hutchinson (back) have been out since last month while Lees suffered a hamstring injury at Manchester City last week. If the trio are fully fit, then Stuart Gray is likely to put all three back into the starting line-up, which would mean Lees facing his former club.

Gray said: “We have missed Tom the last two games while it will be like two new signings in getting Sam and Kieran Lee back. The most important thing now is that, touch wood, they keep fit and I then have a selection headache choosing the team for Saturday.

“It will be a nice boost to have them back and hopefully they will stay back.”

Lees would be a straight replacement in the centre of defence for Kamil Zayatte, who is out for at least two-three weeks after his hamstring injury against Ipswich, while Gray will have do decide who to leave out in midfield if Lee and Hutchinson are 100 per cent ready to return.

On the disciplinary front, Chris Maguire and Joe Mattock are both one booking away from suspension.
