Sam Hutchinson is an injury doubt for the home match with Burton Albion on Tuesday evening.
Hutchinson, who was the architect of our opening goal against Norwich on Saturday, limped off after 33 minutes and could sit out the Burton game.
Carlos Carvalhal revealed after the match that Hutchinson had been struggling with the injury during the week and knew that he might be forced off during the 90 minutes.
He added: “We took a bit of a risk, we know he can play and support the pain – he played at his limit. We don’t think he aggravated the problem but we don’t know if he will recover for the midweek game.
“You never know with Sam. He plays all the time with pain and we never know if he’ll recover in two days or four days or five days but we have good expectations of short to medium time.”
Almen Abdi, who has played recently after struggling to command a regular place in the midfield, missed the Norwich game with a knee injury.
