Hutchinson hopes to return against Forest

Sam Hutchinson is hoping to be fit to return for Wednesday’s televised clash with Championship leaders Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough on Saturday.

The influential midfielder has missed the last two games after suffering a back injury in the home draw with Millwall but Stuart Gray hopes he will be back for the Forest showdown.

Kieran Lee will sit out the game as he continues to recover from his groin injury while long-term absentee Lewis Buxton, who almost made the midweek cup tie at Burnley, may be in the squad on Saturday.

Both sides go into the game boasting unbeaten records this season and Wednesday know that, with a lunchtime kick off, victory would take us to the top of the Championship … for a few hours at least.
