Hunt gives injury update on Twitter

Jack Hunt’s knee injury is not as bad as he first feared and he says he hopes to be back in action in the coming weeks.

Hunt first suffered the problem on the opening day at Preston but has continued to play with the injury, before being forced off in the first half of Sunday’s win over Leeds.

The right back went to see a specialist in London on Wednesday and has tweeted: ‘Amazing news on the injury yesterday whilst in London. Will be back in the next few weeks and no major damage to my knee’.

Liam Palmer came on as his replacement on Sunday and is expected to continue in this role while Hunt recovers.
