Hunt extends his stay at Hillsborough

Jack Hunt has agreed to extend his contract at Hillsborough.

Hunt, 31, made 46 appearances for the Owls last season – during which time he scored his first two goals for the club in his second stay at S6.

He played an important role in our push to the play-offs in his wing back role and has now signed a new deal to keep him at Wednesday.

The 31-year-old made 46 appearances in all competitions for Wednesday last season with his return to S6 proving a big hit.

The right sided defender first moved to Hillsborough in summer 2015 on loan from Crystal Palace before the move became permanent in January 2016.

Hunt left the club in 2018 to join Bristol City where he made in excess of 100 appearances for the Robins before linking back up with Wednesday in 2021.

A popular player amongst his teammates and the fanbase, Hunt bagged his first goals for Wednesday during our strong finish last term in victories over Cheltenham and Wimbledon at Hillsborough.
