Hull reject Wednesday’s loan bid for Fryatt

Hull City have today turned down a loan approach from Wednesday for striker Matty Fryatt.

Fryatt had a successful loan spell at S6 earlier this season and scored both goals for Hull in a rare outing for their first team in the FA Cup win over Southend on Saturday.

Now the Tigers have snubbed a new loan bid from the Owls – on the same day that fellow loan striker Connor Wickham has left Hillsborough after being called back to Sunderland.

Hull boss, Steve Bruce, says he will only off-load Fryatt before Friday’s transfer deadline if the price is right and that, if not, he’ll be happy for the player to stay and run down the last few months of his contract.
