Stuart Gray says the arrival of Gary Taylor-Fletcher meant he could allow Gary Madine to join Coventry on a one-month loan to gain much-needed game time.
Gray said there had been other previous enquiries about Madine but explained today: “Bringing in Taylor-Fletcher has now enabled this to happen – it was a case of getting another striker in the building first.
“Coventry have five games during the month – we won’t allow Gary to play for them in the FA Cup which would be six – and that should give him the match sharpness he needs.
“Hopefully he’ll get some goals and will be full of confidence when he returns.”
