Gray ready to make changes for Derby challenge

Derby County

Stuart Gray will be shuffling the pack after last week’s defeat to Wigan when play-off hopefuls Derby come to Hillsborough tomorrow night.

Glenn Loovens is fit again after his hamstring problem and Giles Coke is in contention after his three-match ban. However, Jose Semedo will be missing after breaking his fibula in the Wigan game.

Gray also has the opportunity to blood three new loanees – defender Sam Hutchinson, midfielder Gary Gardner and striker Leon Best. Up front, Best would seem likely to replace Atdhe Nuhiu while Gardner could well slot into a midfield role.

With the Owls facing three games in six days, Gray will be keen to rotate the squad to some degree and he may be tempted to bring in both Loovens and Hutchinson at the back against the Rams.
