Gray: I’ll probably still be in charge at Watford

Watford

Stuart Gray says he expects to be in temporary charge again for our trip to Watford next Saturday.

Gray, who is now on the shortlist to take over from Dave Jones, said: “The  chairman asked me to take the game again today and probably at Watford next Saturday.

“I am not looking beyond that at the moment, I am just focused on doing the best I can for Sheffield Wednesday.”

This would indicate that Milan Mandaric will be taking his time over the interviewing process before deciding on a successor to Jones.

Looking back at the single goal defeat to Forest, Gray said: “I was disappointed with the way in which we conceded because we had plenty of bodies back there but Cox still had the space to score.

“But I can’t fault the effort of the players today. When they lost the ball they worked their socks off to get it back and it was just that quality in the final third that was missing.”
