Gray hails great team spirit at S6

Stuart Gray once again praised his players and the tremendous team spirit at the club as Wednesday dumped Premier League Burnley out of the Capital One Cup on their own Turf Moor patch.

A delighted Gray said after Atdhe Nuhiu’s second-half penalty winner: “The players have had a great start and credit to them because they have put the hard work in.

“They are giving everything, there is a fantastic spirit around the place and they deserve the plaudits.

“We were good value for the win and I’m delighted for the players because they have done so well at a Premier League side.”

Looking ahead to Saturday’s televised home clash with top-of-the-table Forest, Gray said: “The next game is a tough one, it’s live on television and we should have a cracking atmosphere at Hillsborough.

“But we’re looking forward to it and we want to keep the run going because winning breeds confidence.”
