A second-half penalty from Conor Grant ensured Wednesday’s under-18s were crowned Professional Development League North Division champions after a 1-1 draw at Sheff U on Saturday.
We now have a home semi final tie against Ipswich, the South Division runners-up, as the youngsters look for a place in the final.
Sheff U took the lead from the penalty spot soon after the interval but we hit back with our own spot kick from Grant to secure the Northern title and the play-off clash with Ipswich.
