As expected, Craig Gardner has joined the Wednesday coaching staff and took part in training at Middlewood Road today.
Gardner, 33, whose brother Gary had a short loan spell at S6 back in 2014, played under Pulis at West Brom and was also at Villa, Birmingham and Sunderland, making a total of 327 appearances.
He took a player-coach role at St Andrew’s last year and became first team coach in the summer after retiring from playing.
Pulis said: “Craig is somebody I have great respect for, he is a top quality character. He’s a young coach and very enthusiastic.
“Coaching is a massive cross-section of opinion and it’s nice to have people questioning what you’re doing and how you do things.”
