Fryatt returns to Hull as Gray prepares for City

Leicester City

Wednesday have lost the services of loan striker Matty Fryatt as he has been recalled by parent club Hull City.

Fryatt scored four goals in nine appearances for the Owls and we were hoping to extend his spell for another month – but now Steve Bruce has decided he wants him back at the KC Stadium.

Caretaker boss Stuart Gray is in charge for tomorrow evening’s home game with high-flying Leicester and there is a doubt over Lewis Buxton who limped off in the closing stages of Saturday’s defeat at Blackpool.

Michail Antonio missed the Blackpool match with a knee injury while Fryatt’s departure means Gray has to consider different striking options for the Leicester clash.
