Four relegation candidates beaten and Brum at S6 on Saturday

After the disappointment of our defeat at Stoke last night, results were more encouraging this evening as four fellow relegation candidates were beaten in the latest Championship games.

Birmingham remain one place below us in 23rd after a 2-0 defeat at Millwall, sitting on the same 28-point mark as Wednesday but ourselves now having a game in hand on them, along with a vital six-pointer home match against Brum to come on Saturday.

Rotherham stay one point and and one position ahead of us after losing 1-0 at Bournemouth, Paul Warne’s men having played a game less, while Coventry’s 2-0 defeat to Norwich sees them staying in 20th on 31 points but having played one more match than Wednesday.

Looking further up the table, Forest remain on 33 points after going down 1-0 at Swansea, that’s the same number of points as Huddersfield after their defeat at Middlesbrough last night – with Wednesday having a game in hand on both of them.

The only winners amongst the fellow strugglers tonight were QPR, who moved onto 36 points after a 2-1 home win over Brentford.
