Forestieri ‘ruled out’ for Brentford challenge

Fernando Forestieri looks certain to miss Saturday’s home game with Brentford after suffering a knee injury at Charlton last weekend.

Forestieri, who returned to the starting line-up at The Valley but picked up a knock in the first half and was substituted at half time, is rated extremely doubtful for the Bees clash.

Garry Monk said he is expected to be sidelined for between seven to 10 days and is “very unlikely for the weekend”.

Keiren Westwood is still ruled out with his ankle injury while Liam Palmer serves the final game of his three-match ban, so Cameron Dawson will continue in goal and Moses Odubajo is expected to do likewise at right back.

Meanwhile, Julian Borner is available again after his one-match suspension.

We go into the game in ninth spot, on 29 points and two away from the play-off positions, while Brentford are a point ahead of us in seventh place.
