Fletcher back up front for Bolton clash?

Steven Fletcher could return to the starting line-up as Wednesday look for a much-needed first win in seven matches against fellow strugglers Bolton at Hillsborough on Tuesday evening.

Fletcher missed Saturday’s defeat to Derby as he wasn’t 100 per cent fit on his return from Scotland duty and Jos Luhukay said the striker woud be assessed again after Monday’s training session to see if he is ready to face Bolton.

Liam Palmer, Jordan Thorniley and Matt Penney – all on the bench last Saturday – are also in contention for a starting place.

Luhukay goes into the game looking for a first home win since August and knowing that anything but a victory will see the pressure growing on his future at Hillsborough after taking just one point from a possible 18.

Defeat for Wednesday would see Bolton draw level with us on 20 points and, depending on other results on Tuesday evening, could also see us dropping closer to the relegation places.

The visitors, who are in the bottom three, come to S6 without a Championship win in their last eight matches, losing six of those games.
