Double injury blow ahead of Bolton trip

Sam Hutchinson and Kieran Lee have failed to recover from their injuries and will miss Saturday’s trip to Bolton.

Stuart Gray was hoping that the international break would have given the midfield pair the chance to regain full fitness in time for the Bolton game but both Hutchinson (back) and Lee (groin) are not ready to return to action.

Keeper Keiren Westwood will face a late test after leaving the Republic of Ireland squad early, following a bout of tonsilitis.

Better news on the injury front is that Lewis Buxton is fit for consideration for Saturday while young striker Caolan Lavery will not need surgery on the knee problem suffered in pre-season at Doncaster.
