Wednesday fans wait to see if Dave Jones goes for a new-look strike formation at home to Reading tomorrow after Connor Wickham’s loan deal was confirmed this morning.
Jones will be tempted to start with Wickham and fellow loanee striker Matty Fryatt up front, with Atdhe Nuhiu staying on the bench, although Wickham is lacking first team action at parent club, Sunderland.
Wickham,20, had a loan spell at S6 in the second part of last season and rejoins us until the New Year. He said: “There was interest from other clubs but I feel I have unfinished business here and I can’t wait to get started again.”
