Former Owls defender Harold Wilcockson has passed away, aged 78.
The full back joined us from Doncaster in December 1969 and went on to make 43 appearances before returning to Rovers at the end of the 1970-71 season.
Harold scored one goal for Wednesday, a cracker at the Kop end from the edge of the box in a 1-0 win over QPR in September 1970 – the goal also being shown on Match of the Day that evening.
The thoughts and sympathies of all London Owls are with Harold’s family at this saddest of times.
