Giles Coke will miss Saturday’s visit of league leaders Cardiff to Hillsborough.
Coke limped off during the defeat at Watford with a foot injury and missed the win at Leicester on Saturday.
Dave Jones hoped he might be in contention for a return against Cardiff but the midfielder has now been ruled out. If he suffers no reaction from his return at Leicester, then Reda Johnson is likely to keep the left back berth.
